How much power is my car making?
What does it take to run ### in the 1/4 mile?
Whats my 0-60 ET?

Had a post like this on the old forum. Its a bit of a game, and is basically bench racing. But I find it fun to run the #'s against known variables. Aka known times for a factory car against what the formula says. Its fairly close.

The first is an excel sheet I put together. It can estimate your cars flywheel HP based on known trap speed and Race weight. Its close, but the faster your car is the less accurate it becomes. Seems to be best for cars slower than 11s. It can also estimate based on ET, but that # is wildly dependent on the launch so take it with a cup of salt, a grain isn't enough. This sheet will also estimate your Trap speed and ET based on known flywheel HP and weight.

And I found this sheet on a Corvette forum for estimating your 0-60 mph from known 1/8th mile ET information.

You do realise that by posting it, I could reverse solve the equations and get your cars almost real ET in the 1/8th mile. :)

But I'll be nice.

I said I could. But i'm too lazy to do the math. So you are safe.:juggle:

BSMFR!!!!

Sorry, had to use it. Can't help it, it wouldn't be MFBA if someone didn't write BSFMR.

My car is slow compared to Xpendbl's example. 2.07 0-60 time for my car. 1.3 would be pretty crazy.

I'll practice at Cordova on my launches. Won't leave the light until I see 8PSI.

Could I borrow the other 15psi? I could use them.

you missed a "1" in front of that 8 ;)

18 PSI on the launch would mean tire smoke or a big friggen wheelie. Either of which I don't want.

Have you worked on footbraking it into the first bulb while trying to build boost(2-3 pounds), then tapping it into the second bulb and then hitting the transbrake button and going WOT, it should build boost extremely fast and you'd be all set.
